Transforming Toilet Breaks into Moments of Zen and Well-being

WeWantMore's inspiration for One Hundred Restrooms stemmed from the paradigm shift in the area of health and well-being. The designers envisioned the restroom of the future as a sanctuary built around the principles of health and well-being, a place to "relieve, refresh, and reload".

What sets One Hundred Restrooms apart is its unique blend of technology and design to enhance well-being. The interior design evokes a zen feeling with its curved shapes, wood textures, vertical garden, and indirect lighting. The logo cleverly combines the number one with an abstract representation of a highway exit, reflecting the concept of a quick, refreshing stop in a busy journey.

The realization of this design required a careful balance between cold technologies and warm natural materials to create a zen, natural feeling. The latest no-touch technology, including Roca flush toilets and Tork contactless soap dispensers, is used to ensure sustainable use of the facilities and a clean, hygienic experience.

One Hundred Restrooms is not just about cleanliness. The 130 m2 facilities are fully equipped with cutting-edge technology, a self-check room, a steam experience, hydration station, beauty-bars, grooming station, and spacious rooms for disabled and families. The design team faced the challenge of overcoming the negative image of public toilets in Europe and successfully transformed it into an inspirational experience.

The first One Hundred Restrooms location was opened in October 2018 in Madrid, Spain. The design was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019, a testament to its innovative approach and remarkable execution.
